Cancellation Policy

Welcome to Mudbugs Clay Club! We’re excited to create, learn, and get a little muddy together. To keep our classes running smoothly and ensure every child has the opportunity to participate, please review the following policies. Studio Attire & Environment: Mudbugs Clay Club uses washable clays, underglazes, and art supplies. However, pottery is an inherently messy craft. Parents are advised to dress their children in clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Lil' Mudbugs Clay Co. and our host venue are not responsible for stained clothing, ruined shoes, or damaged personal items brought to class. Long hair must be tied back, and jewelry should be removed prior to class. Ceramic & Kiln Breakage Disclaimer: Clay is a natural, unpredictable, and highly delicate medium. Due to the nature of hand-built pottery, structural cracks, separating clay pieces (such as handles or attachments), or explosions in the kiln can occasionally happen—especially as children are learning proper clay construction, scoring, and slipping techniques. While the instructor will make every professional and technical effort to prevent, monitor, and repair cracks or breaks when they occur, we cannot guarantee a flawless final piece. No refunds, partial refunds, or replacement makeup classes will be issued for pieces that crack, warp, or break during the drying, bisque firing, or final glaze firing processes. Enrollment: Classes meet once a week and are billed monthly. Enrollment is offered in three-month sessions (ex: August–October). Monthly tuition reserves your child's spot in class and is due before the first class of each month. If you wish to withdraw, please provide 30 days' written notice. Missed Classes: * Tuition reserves your child’s place in class, not attendance at individual sessions. * Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be credited toward future months. * If your child will be absent, please let us know as soon as possible. * When space and scheduling allow, one make-up class per month may be offered at the instructor’s discretion. Make-up classes are not guaranteed. Withdrawal & Cancellation: If you choose to withdraw from the club, please notify us at least 30 days before the first class of the next month. Once monthly tuition has been paid, it is non-refundable. Instructor Cancellations: If a class is canceled by Mudbugs Clay Club due to illness, severe weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, a make-up class or class credit will be provided.
